letter to the Grinch

on Thursday we did a Christmas activity it was sending a letter to the I said Grinch and making him positive about Christmas I'm going to show you my letter to the Grinch.     

Dear Grinch

The reason i,m writing this letter to you is to ask if you could change your mind and felling's about christmas. It will make my day if you would come and celebrate christmas with the people of who-ville and it would be great if you come and sing,dance and the people of who-ville can teach you how to sing,dance and you will be happy again and we would love for you to come to who ville.

On Friday my school and all different schools went to a disco and the disco was a blast i saw my friends arrived i ran to see my friends

Today and last week my class made pie posters my pie is going to be a Apple pie with cinnamon and i am going to sprinkle the cinnamon on top of the pie and my poster is going 
 

herb testing

today we did herbs testing first we tested rosemary the rosemary tasted smokey and the texture was  crunchy next my class tasted thyme and I thought that it was like sweet and soft the texture is very very soft and it tasted pretty sweet to me then we tried garlic the garlic was very salty and smooth next we  tried chives 

the chives where  very spicy and chewy then we tried mustard seeds the mustard seeds were  and

 this is my diorama and my diorama is about Waihirere and  my favourite part was when we went to the waterfall the waterfall is small but there was a little hedge to go and see the waterfall  and there was like a little lake under it but I only went nee deep because I was wearing long pants and that blue thing is a waterfall and there is a little piece of paper on the on the front of my diorama and it's about thing that I liked about Waihirere and I like  Kawakawa .

last week my class made a diorama waihi  kaiti beach and the fisheries  I did mine about Waihi  because it was my favourite place because I got to see Coda  a fish  and octopus there was a big hell and we signed up there with half the school and we saw a waterfall I teacher was Mrs hall and koko Maddie and Mrs Spence and Mrs mill it was only a little water for and then there's like a lake on the bottom and there was rocks on across so we can go see the little waterfall and there was a little question you could jump off into the Lake..

going to waihirere with my school

on Monday my school  went to Waihirere with Sam the trap man and we went on a waterfall walk and  he showed us what we could eat in the bush walk and what was not good to eat on the   bush walk  first we saw Kawakawa it was very very sour and it tastes like lemon but then I started to taste a bit  spicy and then we found these Kuru shape and it tasted like asparagus so we could check with garlic and butter and it tasted delicious we make Kawakawa tea.

soldier.	soldiers fought for us and war to keep a country safe from attack and when people died they would put poppies on the top of the grave.
Poppy.	poppies are red flowers with black middles poppies remind us of people who went to war
New Zealand and Australia flag.	flags represent our country and people who went to war.
donkey.	in the olden days donkeys carried people to the medical tint and we'll use to carry them to the graves.
horses.	horses were used to carry heavy things and to attack other countries.

last week my class did  a competition for Wainui Foursquare.we had to write our name our age and our phone number. I didn't have a mounted I had volcanoes as my Mountains

 

maths

 today my class did maths and me and my friends work together in our maths Book . and the maths Book 2A and 3A . i am stepping up because I used to not like maths and now I like to do maths  it is my favourite subject . I like my times tables Plus takeaways and divided.

today my class did how to make a paper cup .

 needs.you will need a piece of strong the about 20 cm square .

1.fold the paper in  half  to make a triangle.

2. you are going to fold one of the corners to about other side of the triangle. 

3. fold the other side to the opposite side of the triangle.

4. fold one  of  the top piece  down.

 

yesterday my class did sketching papers with my teacher Miss Joblin 

1.you will need a piece of black paper.

2.write your name on the back.

3. grab some green brown and dark blue light blue yellow  pastel.

4. use cold colours.

5. draw a pattern on the piece of black paper and make sure there is no black showing.

6.paint black on your pattern and try not to show any colour.

7.let the paint dry.

8.and then grab a toothpick and draw whatever you want.

and if you want to no what   cold colours is its dark colours.

what's your favourite fruit apple and banana.

My class did persuasive writing and it was about what's your favourite fruit apple and banana .

I chose apple because apples are juicy and sweet.

year 5 and 6 camp

 

the year 5 and 6 's   found a whale  Dead on the beach and the whale got hit by a contrarian ship and  the whales jaw broke  and someone took the whales teeth and the police found out who took the teeth and   the man and he got a fine.
